Bonnie Pariser
About Us
Bonnie Pariser opened Yoga Loka in Frenchtown NJ in 2003 to support the community that she loves, and that has held her and her family in its sweet embrace since 1997. In 2018 Yoga Loka moved into 23 Race Street, a first-floor space that is perfect for students and clients to access. Since the front of the space used to be a retail shop, Bonnie used the space to offer a variety of retail items that catered to yoga students. During the pandemic Yoga Loka, like most other businesses, went online. Classes were livestreamed from the studio and the large space was a bit lonely. After about two years of Bonnie saying to whoever would listen "I wish there was a refill shop in Frenchtown," Bonnie realized that if she wanted a refill shop to open, she would have to open one herself – and she already had the perfect spot! With Yoga Loka again open for in-person classes, the space is not so lonely anymore, and the enhanced retail space will continue to serve the Yoga Loka students with items that support an important tenet of a yogic lifestyle – ahimsa (non-violence, in this case, to our environment).
ECO LOKA STORE
Bonnie invited Melody Imhof to assist with sourcing items and setting up the shop. Melody has been devoted to environmentally conscious shopping for years, and her experience and familiarity with the products helped propel Eco Loka into existence.

Our Lifestyle
Yoga Practice
A yoga practice will naturally make us more aware of the impact we are making on the environment, whether it be energetic or physical. And Yoga Loka has always worked towards environmental awareness; holding local clothing swaps for the past decade and more recently, mending circles; screening spiritual movies, and hosting
workshops that raise awareness of environmental issues for participants.
Now having an environmentally friendly retail store will help support the community
reduce our impact on the environment even more. It is a beautiful match!
